Char is a 8-bit crossover game similar to Super Mario Crossover, although Char released about 14 years before that Flash game. In Char your character runs through levels from classic NES games like Super Mario Bros, Bad Dudes, and Castlevania in what are blatant copyright violations. You use your machine gun to kill the enemies (and even the protagonists) in the stages, and even fight end-level bosses from the games. It's pretty well done with decent graphics (mostly borrowed from the NES games) and sounds, and generally plays well. Worth checking out this virtually unknown game! (Note: The early jump over the koopa in the first level is tricky at first, make sure to jump as far as possible off the pipe.)
