eric clapton and santana i rekon are over-rated. though i suppose for making catchy and/or good songs counts they have consideration. But there are better.

well my faves. as best is even more subjective are
Alex Lifeson from Rush
and Ritchie Blackmore from Deep Purple, although Steve Morse now is very good.
