If you already got the sword but, to pull it out whenever you want press 5. When you meet a guard the prince goes automatically in combat mode.

I'm certain the sound/video drivers are messed up on his system. With no hardware specs though, it's hard to suggest anything specific.

Dosbox is for NT-based operating systems, like XP. It's useless for Win98, which has true DOS. And this is what you should do, oskok, restart in ms-dos mode and run the game from there.

Also, there are no dos-compatible settings for soundcards. The IRQs are far off-scale in XP.
