***Update***

Still working on the game though albiet slow and steady. I am however hung-up on my scrolling random stars subroutine that will allow for the effects of movement and nebula particles being shown. As soon as that gets straightened out I can really move ahead.

Gamer_V, I made the ship from just my imagination. I guess it sorta resembles the ship of that Rigian alien, but not really. The 2 lighted parts are supposed to be the engine exaust. Glad you like the alpha though, I'll keep you all posted...

More notes on the game. The current starting speed limit is 10 pixels per main program loop. Fast enough not to get bored to death, not fast enough to get to another star system before several dinners ;). The amount of virtual space I have tested the game to have, (and plenty more space apparently) ...

I would like to use a similar "E-Band" device for the game. I don't want to rip-off actual items though word-for-word. The fusion and other reactors will provide the power for the shields and what not. But I dunno I may use an energy gaining device after all. For now I'm also gonna work on...

LAN/IP support will have to be added in last due to all the variables that I'll have to use in the SP version of the game.

For this GUI design, the blank area to the right of the tab-able sections will be a quick stats section for energy levels, missle count, and all that jazz.
