Post subject: My DOS gaming computer is for sale, 486DX (UK) |

I spent months finding the parts to put this 486 together from scratch, but sadly I have to sell it now as I need the space!
It all set is ready to go, already with many DOS games installed along with DOS 6.22 Windows 3.11. Configured perfectly to run them all very well, drivers loaded into extended memory to free up as much memory for DOS.

Give it a good home! |

I doubt you will be able to sell it dude..
Heaps of 486's are being thrown into landfill or Hard rubbish every week.
I doubt anyone will buy it |

| 486 machines are not as common as they used to be since most have been recycled (atleast here in the US). |

WORKING 486's are very hard to find here, the last two on eBay UK sold for £200 and £150 in the last week. Most went to the scrap 10 years ago
It took me ages to find a working mainboard, most of them have leaked battery acid on them. I have removed the battery on this one and replaced it with a new removable one.
Anyway, £150 is just 'Buy-It-Now' price, bidding is starting at £0.99 with no reserve I can post worldwide, but the cost would be quite high...
I have four working 8088's now (two IBM 5150's and two 5160/XT's), they are more interesting for me |
