OK, first thing would be to swap in another KB. If good then your old KB needs the reset, not the PC.
Next, the remap, did you do it in autoexec.bat or config.sys (or other file)? Use a boot disk or F5 (at boot) to bypass and edit these files to original.
Better yet, did you save a copy of the old auto/config files. Just rename the remap versions and then re-enable the old ones.
If you are back in action, try a menued boot that allows you use the remap keys selectively each boot.
If you're still not getting any place, describe your process for remapping so we can dig deeper.  |
