I have here orginal cd of Warlords 2 Deluxe Edition and been testing it under "Windows XP", "Windows 95A", "Windows 95c (Osr2.5)" and "Windows 98". Celebratory

the main point Why I posted this is because I want to get this work under windows NT Based system as Windows XP & Windows 2000 are. At Windows 9X system this works pretty well with simply configurating the dos system correctly to have enought memory and setting program that windows doesn't detect it and disabling all the windows features from run icon. I think running "Install.exe" to configure the sounds etc is much harder project hehe. Cool

I have tester this title with VMWare Latest and I honestly say I have come quite close running this since got it to run. hehe well takes 2 minutes to start but anyhow and this is little bit tricky. Running it with MS-DOS 6.22 bootdisk which I used to create the "C:\" parition. after install still the game will have problems with EMS and with the Graphics it uses. but loading HIMEM.sys and ems386.exe with "RAM" parameter it allows to start the game. Also works with disabling the "Himem.sys" and "Emm386.exe" totaly from use and by using QEMM386.SYS with "RAM" parameter to manage the EMS memory and it actually works in VMWare if you don't optimize the Qemm 9.0 only add manually the memory managers which will give over 600K + High Memory. Crying

With DOSBOX 0.61 or it's Fronted version I haven't been able to get the EMS memory to locate itself for somereason the game just don't work with that emulation. Forbidding

I haven't found anyother emulation that would actually work on this one. This uses at least 4MB or EMS minimum and game is design to run with 16Mb RAM minimum in pure dos. With VMWare this tho is possible, but only to run something this huge requires quite an machine my 1,677Gzh AMD don't even dream about it or well lets say VMWare ain't fast enought.

Anyone got any suggestions ALL accepted ??? Anyone know any other emulators ???
