I'd try to do a quick relay in the... one of the topics, and I got this-
1. Click on a face, nothing happend (didn't add text to my box)
2. Later I noticed this on the top of the screen, above the white box,
  (note: I tried a few times)
3. After I finnished my post, I said screw the faces, and tried one more time for one, and the wink thumbs up worked.
4. I think a few of your emotions have bad commands or php fudged up for a sec.
5. (optional) It's like the document.write command in a function after the page loads in javascript! |

The emoticon insertion stuff for phpBB doesn't always work 100% correctly ... however, if you mouseover the emoticons it shows the appropriate symbol at the bottom of the screen ... like

So you can always just type them manually to avoid unexpected weirdness  |
