i have an NVidia Vanta graphic adapter, NV5 chip, intergrated RAMDAC, on 60 hetz refresh frequency displaying at 800x600, True Color 32-bit with 8MB of RAM, running W2k SP4.
according to the properties, its hardware accelerated to the max. but when i try to run a certain game, (not DOS) it says that my graphics card is not accelerated or my driver is outdated. me + hardware = noob, so what do i do?

Search the newest drivers you can find and install them?
Or get yourself a GeForce 6series/16-32MB or such......

BTW, what does dxdiag says?
RUN -> input DXDIAG and let the tests run.
What is the reported DirectX version?
