ok ive been trying to get this game to work for the past 2 days but i cant seem to get it working

ive installed the game off an iso (dont have the cd) and mounted it on my i:\

now upon running it it says its a windows 95 executable which ive been trying to get around but cant (tried compatability mode etc)

ive also tried to run it through dosbox with the modifications shown in the posts on this forum (mounting the image, changing the autoexec.nt, and so on)

also tried using d-fend to run it through there, but as soon as i run it the game either crashes to a black screen and gives me an error or it asks me for the cd, which is already mounted on my i: (other cd drives are disabled)

any help in guiding me on the right path to getting this old classic to work will be much appreciated

2 days? Oh my.

Read and apply this:
If on XP:
http://www.dosgames.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5443
If on Vista:
http://www.dosgames.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10437

Don't disable your CD drives, not needed to do so.
Use isomount in dosbox.

Run dosbox, if you've done all swell it starts with a virtual C mounted.
Input:
imgmount d x:\path\name.iso -t iso
d:
install

Let it install from D on C:\constr\
after install run setsound from C:\constr
Your correct choices: (DON'T use autodetect!)

Digital: SB16 / port 220 / IRQ 7 / DMA 1 -> test
Midi: SB16 / port 388 -> test
OK -> save on exit

To play:
imgmount d x:\path\name.iso -t iso
cd constr
game

x:\path\name.iso is the correct path to your iso
If you're smart you keep your path and name of the ISO short, something as
x:\isos\constr.iso.

The game runs perfect in dosbox 0.72.
Before doing all kinds of strange things to get a simple game running READ the stickies.

[Edit]
Corrected imgmount command, made a huge typo there......

sigh ive tried doing whats posted in that post aswell but for some reason im not getting it right

what i have in my setup:

c: - hard drive
d: - hard drive
h: - hard drive

e: - cd rom
f - cd rom

i - virtual drive

now ive installed dosbot and added the following command to the dosbox config file:

mount c c:\games\
c:

ive tried different mount settings but i keep getting errors so cant get past it ~_~ heres what ive done:

i have 3 isos of the game on my hard drives that im trying to mount to the thing, in c:\isos\ i have a .mdf image and a normal .iso image (which it says illegal type iso) and in d:\ i have a .zip iso and another mdf image of the game.

what do i type into dosbox to make this work :S i have too many drives and this is confusing me

THX DB_A, hmmm, me made a typo again, sorry for that Elevate.
It's
imgmount d x:\path\name.iso -t iso

So for you it's:
imgmount d c:\isos\const.iso -t iso
OR:
mount d i:\ -t cdrom
If you want to use your virtual drive with the mdf image mounted in it.
That will work.

From what I see in your screenies:
Whilst in Windows, go to your c:\games folder, clean it(delete what's in it).

Don't install on C: in dosbox, but in C:\constr\
(If you look in Windows you will see C:\games\constr\)
This is what you must have:

After launching dosbox, mount your ISO, install from D on C in directory(folder) constr.
Or every game you're gonna install in dosbox will create a complete mess, use directories.
