...I thought we could do with a thread with a more appropriate title.
Anyway, it's been snowing incessantly for the past 2 weeks, and the temperature is dropping below 0 tonight. (that's -17.78 degrees for you Celsius freaks) We had a very cold summer, and it looks like we're in for a cold winter too.
...not that I'll be here for it. I'm moving to California next week!
Mr. Worm can enjoy all the cold weather for me. |

We've been having some coo-coo weather for the past week. If today's snowing, tomorrow'll be raining only to snow again the day after that.
Needless to say that the ice on the roads is downright scary. |

Here in Belgium we have the coldest winter since .... dunno 30 years?
Freezing night and day, weeks in a row, more snow the usual.
Global warming, ya know. Seems it's that way the global warming works, the summers become hotter and the winters colder, extremer, but the average temp is rising. Yeah yeah whatever, statistics my a*s.
In the Netherlands they even begin to dream about an 'Elfstedentocht", an ice skate marathon over eleven cities. (200 KM) Last time they could do that marathon was in 1997.
California? Really.....? Happy Doggy now?

Typical for Wally, we're talking "winter" and he's talking about "43 Degrees Celsius today".

One of these days, the polar ice caps will melt and all of you ausfreaks will be 500++ meters below sea level. Fun days those'll be! |

Yeah. I literally get out of my car wet from perspiration. No air-con and an average of 40'C everyday.
You should see my tan!
It could just be the El Nino shift? Or the other one...

Damn!
I just don't drive during the day when it's that hot. Only at night, when it's in the 20s. |

Get this.. today, in Perth, temperatures hit 40°C, yet, at the same time as this, we briefly had a hail storm. As in.. it's a Sauna with small chunks of ice getting chucked down into it.. <.<

Didn't work. Anyhow, has been back-edited and fixed. Haven't used forum systems for a while that don't support the tag, so just assumed this one would, and I was feeling particularly lazy and thus couldn't be farked loading up character map or typing with alt keys.
And actually.. no, I don't have that on my keyboard. However, I've aptly followed Larry's suggestion and copied it from his post. |
