Hi everyone, i hope someone can help me here. it might be realy obvious to someone what i'm doing wrong.

I have a copy of "Litil Divil" remember it?
now, the thing is, no matter how many times i've installed/uninstalled it to C:\DIVIL it won't run, i've tried the cd\divil route, which goes to the directory fine then when i type divil or divil.exe it asks for the full path of where it's installed Confuzzled (i'm using command prompt here)

so, if i choose the game.bat file i get a "not enough expanded memory" error.

i don't get it.

i've tried tunning it in DOSbox and it will load (yay!) i use the loonies add onfor ease with it. But the key's for fighting within the game don't work...i'm lost and confused.

i'd be really gratefull if someone can help Happy

Some details would be helpful to pinpoint where it goes wrong.
OS?
Dosbox version?
Your dosbox mount lines?
Your exact inputs when you try to install/run the game?
Setup choices?
Original game? Downloaded? Cracked? Ripped?

[Edit]
Just tested the Abandonia version.
After install you need to double mount the game directory.

So if your full path under Windows is : c:\games\divil\ you need to do:

mount c c:\games\
mount d c:\games\divil\ -t cdrom
c:
cd divil
game

If you didn't ran setup: do it first and choose SB for sound card.
[Edit]
Fire keys:

BTW, the fire keys work only in combination with the cursor keys.

BTW², this is a completely lame game, not worth playing.

my bad...i'm on XP as vista is rubbish. and i'm not keen on Mac's

Thanks, it runs now, only by mounting though.
Dosbox is 0.72
pass, i tried to use Dosshell by loonies software as it saves the hassle of constant mounting

can't actually get it to run through Dosshell anyhow. it keeps asking for the full path.

it came form abandonia.

i'd figured after i got it to work, but thanks for the fighting key thing, it's been so long since i'd played it.

It brings back happy memories from childhood, i don't care if in your opinion it's lame. i'm sure you have games which I think are lame.

Or, if that's the only(or one of the few) game[s] you intend on playing via DOSBox, you could add the mount lines in the Autoexec section within the DOSBox.conf file(accessible by means of start menu), that'll rid you of the hassle of mounting/etc.

Upgrade to 0.73, some big improvements have been done in the latest upgrades.

It's of course a personal opinion, and I certainly fire up games once in a while that are completely lame.
