Hi there,

I was looking through the forum here but couldn't see an error that exactly matched this one.

I'm trying to run it through DOS Box .72. I get this message:
Cannot run program because this file has been modified or deleted: FILE_ID.DIZ

Now, I have that file there, and it seems to have all the stuff I need. This also happens if I try to run it through a normal command prompt.

Any ideas?

Did you downloaded from dosgames.com?
OS?
Mount lines?
Your inputs?
Details, full details ....... all of them.

When I delete file_id.diz the game still runs without problems.

Apologies, I hadn't thought I'd need them as it seemed a problem more with the exe. Here goes.

Win XP SP2

mount y e:\zone66
y:\zone66

[Error come up]

I have changed the details in the config file to leave out ems and xms, but I'm not even getting that far yet.

Read and apply this:
http://www.dosgames.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5443
Set up dosbox properly.

Unzip zone 66 in c:\games\zone66
Run dosbox
and input:
cd zone66
zone66

If you have partitions and want to use your E use e:\games\
Your mount line becomes:
mount c e:\games
c:

You mount a Y ? What a weird idea ..... Confuzzled

DON'T DO THAT.
If needed reinstall dosbox, the game runs fine on a fresh installed dosbox, nothing altered.
