I am looking for an old game I used to play, ega or vga graphics. It was a side scrolling game with a chopper. You have a base on the left to which you buy men, tanks, jeeps, rocket launchers etc. They advance on an enemy base to the far right. He is also buying troops. When your men meet in the center they fight it out. There are bunkers with ballons that are lifted in the the sky to cause you to crash your chopper.

The chopper can land and pick up guys, who can be dropped further up the screen to take over bunkers and cause mayhem for the enemy. The goal is to have your troops take out the enemy base. You control the chopper with a mouse and can drop bombs on the convoys and attack his chopper.

Anyone know what this game was called?

It is not Chopliffter, that is about picking up hostages and flying them to safty. The game I remember was based on attacking there base, and picking up infantry to support the taking of that base.

Yes, I am looking for that game too, and I also forget the name.
For sure it is not choplifter.
I remember that the first mission is started with "... the enemy is found in Cherbourg..." or some sentence like that
