I just found this text adventure game from my childhood with the help of dosraider and emmzee. It's called Vampire's castle adventure. However I am totally stuck at the same place I was when playing it 20 years ago.

No one seems to have played it and there are hardly any entries about it on the web.

If anyone can mange to get past the "tapestry" (you'll know), you are a smarter man than I. And I desperately need a hint.

Here is the download link: http://www.soulsphere.org/downloads/
Consider this a challenge if you have nothing better to do.

Gwaaah.
I am losing it here. Am I supposed to go over or "under" the overhang? Do I need any of the items for it? The overhang is "a little too high".

I must be missing something obvious.
