For what I can remember, the game is in green and black(maybe white and black) and it's very old. I remember my parents playing it between 1986-1990. I don't remember the name of the computer either but we later bought an Amiga 500+ so the game existed before that.

The game starts with our character standing outside a hotel or some kind of building, maybe it's his apartment. At the bottom of the screen is a road, then comes a pavement where our hero stands and in the background is the building.
I think you controlled the character by writing what he was supposed to do. Something like "open door" and "walk to road".

You could walk inside the building where there was a restroom. I specifically remember that you could flush the toilet in there.

Does this ring any bell? I would really like to find the name of this game and maybe some screenshots.

Thanks in advance!
Niklas

No, it's not that one but thanks for the quick reply!

I'm fairly certain that this game came before the windows era, but again I'm not 100% sure.

The game I'm thinking of is not as colorful and childish as Hugo's. The tone and look of the game is more realistic and I want to believe that the game only had two colors.

Any other ideas?

That the game your parents played was two colors could be because of their monitor, many only had a monochrome one in those days.

Your description reminds me kinda of the Déjavu games:
Deja Vu 1: A Nightmare Comes True

Deja Vu 2: Lost in Las Vegas

Maybe even Borrowed Time, but I don't remember much about this one....

That is also a pretty accurate description of the opening scene in Larry 1. However that was released in EGA graphics, but your settings and or monitor could possibly be responsible.

Larry is quite an obvious choice though, so I guess you probably would have known it.
