Hello-
-I recently purchased a 1992 game by Cyberflix Inc. called Lunicus. The game is for Windows 3.1 and DOS 3.3. After I installed it, the game wouldn't work, so I tried to install it in DOSBox. Upon installation here, DOSBox told me that the program required Windows. I have no idea what to do next.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance! |

Some general possibilities:
The game has a dosinstaller, or a win installer, or both.
Try to locate the dosinstaller to use it in dosbox directly (usually it's install something, bat, exe or whatever, can be located in a subdir).
If the game has only a wininstaller and effectively only can run in W3.x:
Try it in Xp (if that's what you're on ???????) Most W3.x games will run directly in XP(32 bits).
If the game won't work:
Install W3.x in dosbox, W3.x works fine on dosbox 0.72.
More about it:

Keep in mind that the description on Vogons is to get an optimal working W3.x in dosbox, most games only need a standard W3.x install, tryout this first.
Or install W3.x in VPC2004. (VPC2007 doesn't has dossuport for the guest OS, and you'll need that to get sound working). |
