FYI: If you're trying to play this in DOSBox, make sure to NOT use "Max" as the cycles setting. Set the cycles to a reasonable #; if you have cycles set on Max like I usually do the game will crash.

Me again. Funny and ironic. You added Evasive to the site! The whole reason I began asking about it in the first place is because it wasn't on an obvious site like this! Glad some people know or remember about now.
I'm still looking for the full version (I'm losing faith that it even exists though). Still, if I find it I'll be holding onto it like glue so let me know if you want it for the site.

Well, why shouldn't it exist? I remember the screenshots on the ad for the full version. I can't imagine Chris Blackwell offered people to buy the game, although he didn't even finish it.

Yes. Mr. Blackwell really needs to come back here and give us the full version. (if he gave dosgames.com the right to distribute, we'd be the only site in the world to offer it!)

Well, I've been searching for at least three months now without a single good hit on this game. I mean cold hard nothing! But just before I second dogbreath, I have one more suggestion based on what I did find:

Evasive.zip - original evasive shareware (one on this site)

EVASIV12.zip - an Updated 1.2 shareware with a few new features.

???????????? - Registered Version

Does anyone know the registered versions filename? If it's different to the others I may be able to find it with that. It's worked extremely well for me in the past!

No idea, and that's indeed the whole problem.

Did anyone ever try to contact this guy at the address given on the ad for the game? (Or wasn't there an address?)
If no one did so, maybe I try sometime soon - although I live in Germany. So if anyone's nearer to him and would like to try - maybe it's worth a shot.

Emmzee: you're technically so close you could just drive there... though I dunno how he'd feel if some random guy shows up at his house "excuse me, I met you online once, and tracked you down... don't mind the chainsaw"

Well yeah - maybe that indeed would be kinda weird. But checking, if he still lives there would be enough. I'd volunteer to write a small letter then - and that should give us the answer, whether the full version exists and is still available or not.

In theory I could of course also write a letter beforehand, so that emmzee wouldn't have to drive there two times, but just checks, if the lives there and then throw it into his postbox. You could sign this too, as you're speaking for a large group of dosgamers.

Of course chances are, that the game really doesn't exist (anymore). But even that sure knowledge would be worth something, as it saves people to search in vain for it.

Let me know, what you think about the idea.

Yea given that the text file listing his address was written around 12 years ago, the changes of him still living there are slim at best. Also, yeah, I'm sure my parents wouldn't appreciate it if some random guy showed up at my house because I was dumb enough to list their address in some old ZZT game or something lol Sarcastic

But yeah trying writing a letter, if you really want the game it's worth a shot. Congratulatory

I totally agree, those chainsaws are overestimated.

Heavy grain, yay.
