Hi, I'm looking for a 2D (and I believe 2 color) tank game. It ran over the IPX protocol, for multiplayer.

VERY simple graphics. You could alter the look of the tanks, by changing a single imagefile....

The battlefield had som "stones" on it, that somtimes moved to a different position, so that you couldn't just hide behind it.

You could only see the tanks from above, nothing else. Poor graphics, but a small game I spend hours playing with friends....

HALP!

What's it called? I believe it was free... so where do I get it?

Battlezone has colors, and the other one has more than tanks....

There are only 2 tanks in the game!
You and your enemy, connected through the IPX protocol.

No colors!

VERY SIMPLE!

dosraider:
Looks a lot like that yes, but not completely the right one Sad
I believe to remember that the textures on the ground weren't there, just a grey area. The tanks were defined by an image containing the tank driving i different directions. Edit the file and you edited the apperance of the tanks...
Thanks for helping though...

Nah, can't help further. See that's the problem with those little ol'games, too many of them. Thousands and thousands of them, shareware, freeware, clones, homemades, fanmades, QBasic ..... whatever and whatnots.
But keep hanging around, maybe one of the regulars or visitors will recognise it .....
Ya never know here.

I don't think that a 'guest' poster can do that, Wally.

The game is called Netmaze. The file you want is netm37.zip
It works in Dosbox.
