I love them, but I'm REALLLLY picky. I don't want one of the really complex like 5-person RPG dungeon crawler. I'm looking for a more simplistic you-and-only-you exploration kinda games, where you start off with a base weapon, and have to survive by hitting shops for other weapons, or just picking them up off the ground. Not looking for anything specific, or for OS-specific games (preferably DOS/Windows/Linux).

To give you a better idea of what I want, I'm looking for something like Orcs and Elves... lol. I'm bored, and I have an urge to play some games like that.

lol I was thinking Orcs & Elves throughout your whole post until the end ... hmmmm ... you're looking for 1st person Dungeon Hack style games, or any RPG-ish games?

Well, obviously the Moraffware RPGs, but that's a given...

I'd highly Recommend Mordor to you. You start out in a town with a guild, magic shop, armour shop, weapons shop, Inn, etc. Enter the dungeon, kill monsters, go back and level up and buy better stuff, go down further, come back up, go down even further... without even the tiniest hint of a plot to get in your way.

Good level design, cool monsters, lots of spells, simple play, some puzzles... hours of fun. Give it a try.

(And if you can stomach a little plot, Mordor: II/Demise is an excellent RPG too)

Oh! You could also try playing Ultima I, back from when the Ultimas only had 1 character (the avatar) and all you did was walk around the world map and go into various dungeons to kill monsters for Lord British. There's an updated version floating around the internets somewhere... I can't link to it, but I'm sure you can find it. Happy
