1) I would like to know where, if anywhere, I can get hold of a free (?) copy of "Kingdom O' Magic" for DOS. That is: Shareware, or Legal full download, (or if I get reallly desperate, Illegal Full Download) since I can't find actual current data that SCi actually acknowledges its existence:

2) Does anyone know where I can get my hands on a copy of "Superscape Visualizer"? I may have only seen it in a 1996 computing magazine, but I think it still looks kinda cool.

Bear in mind that in 1996 they thought the Ultimate Games PC was this:

"Kingdom O' Magic" for DOS has been requested on Abandonia, is approved as abandonware , will be available in the ISO cellar in time ..... patience .... patience.

Or post a request there, maybe someone will link you to rapidshare? Ya never know. (Or you will get your ass kicked, ya also never know there LOLZ)

I, however, have yet another request: Core War (or CoreWar) -

1) Where can I get it? I've searched and searched but again, nothing has come up trumps.
2) How do I play it? I understand the basic description: Build a program that can kill the other program, but I am at a loss to do anything else. Mainly because I can't find it in the first place.

Your description of the game makes me think of some games, but nothing sounds as 'core war', are you sure of that name ???

I'm now looking for an old game that was originally for the Amiga but was ported to the PC a while later: the Mr. Blobby game. It involved Mr. Blobby, his wife and baby Blobby, walking around black-and-white backgrounds, putting all the colour in by walking around.. You'd throw pies at the enemies.

I found the entry on Mr. Blobby on Wikipedia but I can't seem to find the game itself... Any ideas?

Some amiga retro sites have the game, but it only works on the 'real' stuff, not on emulators.
As for a Dos/Win port: nope, at first sight.

The only 'Blobby' game seems to be Volley Blobby ....... :/ -> To avoid.

I've found a site which offers it for PC download, but I don't want to run the risk of downloading from a site I've never heard of before, and could contain viruses, etc. The site is "Chip Retro" - Has anybody ever downloaded from here before?

Nope, don't know that site.
But you know you can scan files BEFORE unzipping them?
How depends of your antivir prog. (Usually "scan archives" or such).

And yes, downloading from pirate sites can be risky sometimes.
Not always. There are plenty safe ones.

Up to you to know how eager you are.

Almost ten seconds after downloading the zip file to be scanned, "VSMON.exe has CRASHED." "Please reboot your Computer or restart ZoneAlarm."

Oh dear.

You best avoid that site in the future then.
Delete that file.
And do a complete PC scan.

Hey, it's just a game, simply forget it.
Plenty other good ones around.
