Honestly, I prefer C++, but I was raised in the ways of OOP and so it may just be a personal thing...

I told him at least 20 times not to waste his time on C and to just learn C++... their basically the same, only C++ has classes, so it would make his life easier. I guess he didn't listen to me.

Okay Wardrich,if C and C++ are BASICALLY THE SAME,then I won't have a hard time learning it next.And besides,I learned C first B).I use Dev-C++ for my projects.

Im writing a Batch File for a friend and was trying to accomplish the following(example):

Code: Select all

SET address=ax
SET function=
SET /P INPUTcom=
IF /I INPUTcom==%function%%address% [command]
When I was using the IF statement,I was trying to filter the INPUTcom variable with more then one variable and then do a command.To my knowledge,you can use the IF statement to filter the INPUTcom variable with only one variable,how do you do more then one variable then perform an action?

Sorry tinman, I don't understand your question. Could you give 2-3 examples showing the values of address, function, and INPUTcom, and what each combination should do as the command?

I'd rather have a 4 pages Tinman47 thread than a 500 similar topics started by Tinman47.
My 'delete this topic' button is almost worn-out.

Coming from the same guy who once had a 6 page thread of people trying to explain a concept everyone else understood in 20 seconds... oh wait, that was earlier this month! :laugh:
