er... WHAT? Confuzzled

Ok, true not all programs are ported to Linux but there are plenty of alternatives and even better, there's Wine!

As for DirectX, not only you need to brush up on your Linux knowledge but you also need to go to dunno... wikipedia from time to time, DirectX it's Microsoft Windows EXCLUSIVE, that means it was never supposed to be used on anything else than Windows(and ehm, the XBox) so not only that DirectX 10 won't work on Linux, none of the DirectX versions will! But don't be afraid to use google, you'll see that there are many alternatives(my, my! Didn't I say that already?)

As for DirectX 10, screw it! They Replaced DirectSound and DirectInput with those "ripped-from-XBox" XInput and XInput. Ah well I could rant like this for a while but I should stop now before I write a whole bloody novel! Tbbbbbth!

Linux has never supported Direct X. It uses OpenGL.

And most Windows applications/games have FREE clones over on the Linux side... I think to state it more correctly, "not all Linux apps have a Windows port"

WHAT?! You computer NOOB! You thought you wouldn't get away with it?!
Don't you know of a command for deleting history!? Well I do! On Firefox, click history, then click show in sidebar, right click on 'Today' and Delete! There goes the evidence... Malevolent Twisted.

But hopefully you'll never go XX sites again... they might eat you! Boo! Happy

First of all, deleting the history doesn't remove all "evidence" Tbbbbbth!

Second of all, stop reviving old threads! Thank you!

Let's see... ctrl-shift-delete clear out temp files

$ rm -rf * ~/.temp (clear out anything downloaded)
$ history -c (clear out all mplayer commands)

Good enough for me.

Everything is cleaned when I'm leaving FF, always.
You can set this up automatically in Extra -> Options -> blabla.

A must when you have your children using your PC when they come see their ol'poor daddy.

Of course, you better keep in mind that someone who knows his way around in a PC will still be able to retrieve all the info of the XXX sites you have visited.

And if a parent wants .... stealth log progs enough around.
Something to think about ........

There's no need for those, a decent[and well configured] parental control device will do the trick! Sarcastic

Indeed Larry.
But kids don't like to be restricted, they will find ways around it.
Better give them the idea that they can do what they want, and keep a stealth eye on their PC habits.

Yes, I'm wicked.
Bàààààd me.

In firefox theres an option to "clear private data", it clears almost everything like temp files, cache and everything, plus you can go to "disk cleanup" in the start menu of windows. anything else you can do to wipe what youve been viewing? coz ive heard theres no real way to clear it untill youve overwrit the part of the hard drive it was saved to
