You can play lemmings on internet , but you won't find lemmings multiplayer as far as I know, wouldn't be much fun anyway.

Here is one site that host lemmings:
http://www.funnygames.nl/spelletjes/2399.html

And yes, it's free of charge, no spyware or malware or whatever is stored on your PC .

Euuurh, yes it's a Dutch site, but the only thing you must do is click on the lemmings picture.

There are several other sites who host lemmings and other online games, google is your friend again.

I forget how to play lemmings.

I still don't know why i am only good at the atari 2600 games.

Everytime i play multiplayer on a game i always get badly beaten.

Each generation of games brings with it added complexity. You, abyss, seem to be a 2nd generation gamer.

If you want to gain skill, go to the 3rd generation (NES), once you're good at the 3rd generation then move on to the 4th (Sega Genesis/Super Nintendo). If you can get it on those, then go to the 5th (Playstation 1/Nintendo 64), then the 6th (Playstation 2, XBox, Gamecube), and then finally the 7th (Wii, Playstation 3, XBox 360).

I'm personally stuck at the 4th Generation and lack enough interest to move on to the 5th or later.

DOS Games even went all the way to the 5th Generation with Duke Nukem 3-D and other similar games.

DOS Games Generations:

Generation 1: Pong
Generation 2: Alley Cat, Sopwith, EGA Trek, Bouncing Babies
Generation 3: Duke Nukem 1, Jill of the Jungle, Bio Menace, the Keen games
Generation 4: Jazz Jackrabbit, Raptor, Tyrian, Zone 66, Duke Nukem 2
Generation 5: Duke Nukem 3-D, Quake, Doom, Shadow Warrior, Redneck Rampage, Need for Speed 1, Descent

I'm very good at pong and i am good at all of those generation 2 games but i am still terrible at the third generation and later and i got over 100 thousand on laser blast before i got tired of it and quit. I am starting to get to good at the generation 2 games.

I think that Final Chance's explanation on Generations is pretty good. Try to play harder Generation 2 and easier Generation 3 games until you can easily play them, or even had mastered them. Then keep up the process with Generations 4, 5, 6, and 7, if you feel like it.

I'm a decent gamer; I can play games from any generation with ease and do well, however, I feel that old games (4th Generation and below) have more fun to them. To be honest, I enjoy the visuals and sounds in newer games more than anything. They lack the gameplay older consoles and DOS have. Shit-Eating Grin
My guess is because older games had to rely on the gameplay factor because of the limited hardware availably, but that all changed around the 5th Generation or later.

Though I still enjoy a few of the newer games out there like Zelda and Unreal Tournament. Blissful

For DOS, go for Jill of the Jungle. It has unlimited lives, so you can die as much as you want without having to start the whole game all over again. Though a few of its puzzles could be tricky.

Thanks i like Jill of the Jungle. Is their any other games that are not too hard. I really need to start with a game that is very easy to get good at harder games.

Ex: I was not good at pong or super breakout until i beat blockage and so on.

Speaking of Lemmings; my boyfri is playing the SEGA version through an emulator, and can't work out the controls. Any ideas?

Depends what emulator.
In DEGA:
-> it's simply use the cursor keys to move the fake-mouse around, hit X to select at bottom / attrib to lemming.
-> the X also acts as the start key.

If he plays Alex Kidd (you never know )
-> the C acts as start/ select key
-> the Z for the jumping (AZERTY !! Happy W in QWERTY I suppose)
-> the X for the boxing.
(-> and cursor keys meheh.)

Good extra: in DEGA you can 'save state', so you don't have to start the game over and over from the start. Kinda cheating.
