It's 100% guaranteed that you can rename "My Computer" in Windows 95.
A teacher at one of my old schools changed it to "My Imitation Macintosh" on most of the student computers in his classroom (Pentium 100, all Windows 95). |

| I’m inclined to agree with FC, as I mentioned before I’m sure it was a Win 95 machine that my friend renamed My Computer to George. If was back in the time of NFS but I can’t remember if it was the first or second game, though it doesn’t really matter since either way it still pre-dates Win 98. |

Didn't you need a tweak program to rename 'my computer' in W95 ?
Or was that needed to get rid of the icon on the desktop? |

I think it was needed to get rid of it, I remember renaming it just by pressing F2(meaning, just using rename ) |
