1up posted an article listing 101 free games you can download/play on the good ol' information superhighway:

http://www.1up.com/do/feature?cId=3156339

I haven't played any of 'em yet, but there seems to be some decent-sounding games listed here (they're listed by game type) ... a few I've heard of before, but most are new to me, so you'll probably find some here that you've never played. Cool

If you try any of these, please post your thoughts on which ones are good/bad in this thread so we don't have to waste time downloading all of these to find out which ones are good Wink

I've played a few of 'em before these ones: I'm Oké (sidescrolling shooter, made for Jack Thompsons proposal)), the blob (bloody brilliant, a bit like katamari) , chicken vs. road (small adventure), full throttle in a movie (YOU KNOW FULL THROTTLE RIGHT?), rock 24 (nice half-life 2 mod), maniac mansion deluxe (didn't really found it that interesting but it is classic), railroad tycoon (Tsjoej-tsjoek). All of these are worth your time. Tbbbbbth!

And I'm downloading some sim-games and the silver lining off the list. Happy I like the list, but it's full of games that aren't worth my time if I look at it quick.

I've tried a few of these so far:

Ninja Loves Pirate: Well-done game in terms of production values and theme, but I didn't find it particularly fun to play.

Frog Hunt: Retarded. Played for about 30 seconds then uninstalled it.

Heartland Deluxe: "Wow, this game is really good! ... oh, wait, it's over? Damn!" Yea it was great, but over in like 10 minutes.

JohnnyRPG: Didn't seem to work right, crashed before I got to the actual game.

So, not a lot of success so far. Crying

I've played I'M OK before, in fact I believe I posted a topic about the game when it was released, haven't had a chance to look through all the titles yet, but looks good so far. Happy *bookmarks*

hmm... Frets on Fire kept me playing for 15 minutes... it's a cool game, provided that you like Guitar Hero and you don't actually have it!

Game Biz 2... WOW! Just wow! it's the best thing for all game creators/freaks out there(not really user-friendly tho')

Pluto Strikes back failed to impress me... it's a poor game where you are Pluto(the planet not Mickey's dog Tbbbbbth! ) and you swing meteors at other planets...

Ben Jordan: A must have, if you like quest/adventure-like games! Congratulatory

RayHound: Brilliant. Just using a magnetic field to throw your enemies' shots back at them is cool. Although, you do get hit a lot by them when you're just starting to play.

Well clearly I didn’t miss that one, and neither did anyone else on this site thanks to me. Tbbbbbth!
