Most British humour is extremely poor, I take it this must be one of those rare exceptions. Tbbbbbth!

Whoa, are you kidding??
British humour is way better than anything around here.
You've just gotta be clever to understand quite a bit of it.
(Not saying you're dumb or anything...)

Ouch.

Ok I'll admit some British humour is good (Monty Python) but some of it is just utter crap (The Office).

Anyway I can't really comment on Canadian humour as well I've never really seen/heard any, but I much prefer most Australian humour to British.

Most Canadian humour is just political satire. All brodcast on the CBC. This Hour has 22 Minutes, Royal Canadian Air Farce, The Rick Mercer Report, they're all pretty much making fun of the government. But it takes this many shows to do it! Shit-Eating Grin

ha, There's no need for ouch's as I didn't mean any insults by my other comment.

Well yeah, every culture has bad and good humour.
Some british stuff is just balls. But some is really hilarious. Yes, Monty Python is definitly good.

Indeed I wasn't saying all British humour is bad, I just don't find a larger majority of it funny. But I put that down to a culture thing. For instance HappyHarvick29 said a lot of Canadian humour is making fun of your politicians, which would mean if I heard it I wouldn't find it funny as I know nothing of your politics and hence would not get the joke. That's not to say the joke isn't funny, it's just not funny to me.

Harvick watches particular shows that deal with politics. Mostly, anyways.
There are stand up comedians though, and general shows that depict lives. Like "Who's line is it anyway?" and "Just for laughs" and stuff like that, as well as the comedy shows such as "Friends" And "Fraiser" and the other ones that are newer (I don't watch them). Just like British shows such as "Are you being served?" And "Keeping up appearances." They're shows that depict lives, but aren't based on making fun of something.
I wouldn't say that most of our comedy is political seeing as though political comedy does not interest me, but I like to watch Just for Laughs all the time. There are political jokes, of course. But what comedian doesn't have political jokes?....Very few.

Who's Line Is It Anyway is on pretty late at night here, it has it's moments. I haven't seen Just For Laughs. I never really liked Frasier, I did find bits of it funny but I don't know why I still didn't like the show. As for Friends, no just, just no.

Yes, but you gotta keep in mind that Fraiser and Just for Laughs, Friends etc, are all American shows. I was just commenting on specifically Canadian comedy. Other Canadian humor series that don't focus on politics probably havn't ever been heard of. "This is Wonderland" "The Red Green Show" etc. But the majority of Canadian-specific comedy is politically based.

Those are all American? Silly me.
Just for laughs is Quebec, is it not? Or is that just Just for laughs: Gags...?

The Red Green Show is incredible.

However, here in the States, you can only find it on the Public station, PBS.

Ah yes, Just for Laughs is from Quebec, slipped my mind. As far as I know they're all from there, not sure though.
