History of my machine - my dos games machine:

its a pentium 1 166 mhz - it was a 486 - i had the whole thing rebuiilt

History:
Originally with DOS
then 3.1 windows
Then win 95
Win 98 SE
Windows 2000 - current OS

That machine runs faster than many pentium 3's. Weird that Dos games work on 2000.

Im a MacAddict but i dont own a recent mac.. I like using dosbox though with wintrash XP. I am getting a G3 powerbook soon enough

There is plenty wrong with it.

IF microsoft took some time and waited before they released a crap and buggy version of windows well that would be a completly different story. They just want the money while people will give it. Longhorn is already late

Personally I like windows. But did u know that u can get into the registry with a guest acct??!

Go to Windows Explorer
Go to help
Search for Registry edit
Choose "add your own shutdown keys"
Click on the registry link and ur in WITH A GUEST acct.

now dats wat i call NOT SAFE. BTW u can get admin passowords if u can get into the registry - but that means u also need another machine with a "password decoder" software. Sorry Cant tell u - cause its hacking and unless you forgot your admin password - I wouldn't do it - its illigal.

But i prefer windows over any other OS. Why? its so easy - and everything runs on it Happy

I got Win 2000 and DOS games work on it though not all of them. I'm trying to convince my dad to get Win 95. He won't listen. When I get my own computer, it's getting Win 95 and I'm gonna play DOS games all the time.

You got that right. I'm using a Windows 95 and it's unstable. Whenever I want to shut it down it freezes! If I were you, Dark Lord, I would get a Windows ME. Or at least Windows 98 SE. That way you don't have to worry about dosbox. Windows 2000? It's stable, but if you want to play dos games only, NO WAY!!!!! Win2000 is the worst choice when it comes to dos, even if you have dosbox! And what about Windows Xp? It's okay....... if you have dosbox. But it still isn't the best choice.
I advise to get Windows ME. And Sorcerdon, the worst Windows version is the first
one released!! (Windows 1.0)

Windows ME is the worst Windows ever. Considerably worse than Windows 95.
