well, my favourite haiku, written by Albert Finney in 1929, is:

five syllables,
then seven, five again,
no rhyme.

or something like that....

A forest blows in wind.
This is a haiku. haiku.
A mighty fine one.

A lot like my poem actually,

Roses are Red,
Violates are blue,
This is a poem.

A confused old man
Will he be lost forever?
Only time will tell

Something grabs his foot
Oops! He slipped on a pine cone!
He is very dead

Be good to hobos
Or they will eat your Cherrio's
Silent like the night

Eating your garbage
Or are they eating your soul?
Be good to hobos

A fat Mexican
Pedro does eat the corn dog
Will corn dog eat him?

Walking home from school
The corn dog eats his insides
Then it eats his face.

Uh... 5 7 5?

Let the wind blow hard
Does the wind blow like it should
Will we wait for tomorrow?

It is still, still raining
When will it ever stop, stop raining?
I am getting quite wet

Let the rain fall down
The drops disturb a smooth lake
My mind remains calm.

The church bells chime twelve
One more year closer to death
Another from youth.

I feel like baking.
Maybe some brownies or cake.
Damn, I don't have eggs!
