Cute Troy the Dinosaur's task is to collect all the gold in non-scrolling levels and it's a nice lil' game.

Some enemies shots and lifts can crush, not to mention spikes, but there's no real violence here, so it's suitable for kids.

No points are getable: they would be pointless 'cause required enemies are allways shot and High Score allways the same.

Thou can't save, but it doesn't matter: Thou can try again as many times thou wish. Levels aren't too big even when they goes to 5 screened nor there ain't too many o' 'em. It's completable in 1 session and thou don't need to practise it too many times.

Graphic mode's a very rare 640X480X16, which is a small cheering up. It's a matter o' colors, not resolution that makes good graphics.

Instead, a small minus is that game's complitely mute. Okay, a good game doesn't need sound, but 'cause Troy's action, even the Beeper would be plus.

If thou'rt lookin for a game where to start, Troy's one of 'em. It doesn't test thy nerves being to hard and is easy to learn. Recommended to others too.

Just wanted to add some additional information.

This is one of the dos games written by James Saito. His dos games were released as shareware & freeware. One good thing about this game is that it is freeware, the graphics are good considering that it is a dos game of such a small size. Subsequently, he made improvements to his games by adding sound, better graphics, improved and more levels and they became windows versions.

The best thing of all is that this is one of those few dos games that can withstand the improvements of technology. It works for all version of windows including Windows XP. No dos emulation required.

Although this game has no sound, it is a nice game to play if you like cute platform jumping games. It really tests your skill in jumping, shooting and dodging as the timing of performing these actions is important in some levels. You would have to survive a long level to finish collecting all the gold. Don't worry, as you play more levels, you skill will improve. If you died halfway through the level, you have to restart the level. All levels are possible to complete. Many years ago, I have complete all the levels.

After completing this game, you can try out the more improved windows version Troy 2000. The shareware version is 20 levels but if you pay a registeration fee, you can play 55 levels. I have also finished the 20 shareware levels.
