What are some good games?

Post by Gwath42 »

Hello, I just found out about DOSGames.com and I remember about DOS games about 6 years ago. I only remember one game, which is CyberDog. My question is that i was wondering what some other good DOS games where. So can you people please post your favorite DOS games that will work with DOSBox and Window XP? Thanks a bunch!!!!

Commander Keen is cool and I like cash invaders. Also, doom, quake, and duke nukem.

I don't think Wolfenstein 3D is good. It's monotonous, repetitive and eventually boring.

To all these I'd add their sequels: Simon 2 - even funnier than the first, although has some darker / more sexist humor ; Vikings 2 - probably as good as the first, but with two more characters ; Hexen - but only if you like puzzle elements in a first person shooter ; DOOM II - the real thing and Final DOOM if you want more challenging levels ; Dave 3 - More levels, better graphics, and much more gore and to a lesser extent the weird Dave 4 taking place in the insane asylum.

Some genres:

Dark Forces
Dune 2
Pinball Fantasy
Tie Fighter
Lands of Lore
Day of the Tentacle
Master of Orion
Civilisation

I've played these a lot: Stunts, Wacky Wheels, Jill of the Jungle, Duke Nukem 2, Dave, Rick, Super Offroad. Not everyone agrees on the quality of these games, but i liked them a lot.
I love 320x200!
