Barenaked Ladies (My favorite band, period. Except for their new stuff.)
Their new stuff is not that bad. It's still fun to sing, and the lyrics at least match the quality of Maroon. Or are you including Maroon in "new stuff"?

No, just "Everything for Everyone" and beyond. It's okay, but it's just sounds more moody, not as carefree. They used too many echo effects/too much ambient noise.

If you enjoy gritty, distorted blues/rock (and who wouldn't?!) check out The Black Keys ... free MP3s available at http://artist.amazon.com/blackkeys (get the song 'Thickfreakness' first). Its still tough to believe its two skinny white dudes doing these songs Shocked Suspicious
