Cavalry Archers with full upgrades own all. At least, if you're good enough to focus fire and avoid those mangonels.

I'd say this game is one of the best out there - as far as I know the only one to allow such huge armies, while keeping it easy to control it all. I'm using the expansion. However, I prefer WarCraft 3.
