It is a AT&T Globalyst 200 and it was working fine for a long time, but now when I turn it on, the lights go on the bottom go on but the monitor stays black and the hard drive doesn't make any sounds! Please help, because this is the only comp I have I can play dos games on. Thanks.

Check for loose connections inside the laptop.

Try removing the batteries and plug it into the wall (if you can).

The monitor may be damaged. Or one of the chips might be fried.

Was the laptop ever dropped? Dropping a laptop (even from only a few feet) is like a human falling off a skyscraper or a cliff.

99% chance that laptop is gone for good and you may as well give up.
