Wally, you weren't even around when WFH was. You only want more power. Give it up, I haven't even seen any of his posts in a year.

So guys, what's the plan? Are we keeping things mostly the same, or are we going to make some serious renovations, or what?

Let's hear the conclusion of the matter, shall we? Cool

DB said we're keeping it the same. Besides, when the template is done, more members will stay. Not like it matters, my template won't work until the board is at least version 2.0.6.

I didn't say we're keeping it the same... I just said we're not deleting the database and starting from scratch. (There are quite a few mods (subforum, etc.) that I'd like to be implimented... but that's up to Emmzee to add)

The most important thing is that members here start good, informative discussions. When we get those going, we usually get 5+ pages of solid output... but most people seem content to just sit back and answer find old games posts... it's rare that people around here make their own topics.

Emmzee said he would not mind to apply all mods and start from scratch..

It is rare that people make their own topics because there aren't many people I have to admit.

Thus when the election is finished.

The majority of votes matters, no matter what any administrator says (Excepting Emmzee of course!)

BTW JMS and I havent voted yet and we would add 2 votes to yes on count

1. Yes, I asked your permission, and you said it was "fine with you" as well as for Oz.

2.

And for the love of God-if you want to post a rant or bicker or flame about any of the stuff posted here-DO IT IN ANOTHER TOPIC. Hell, if you want to complain about the existence of this topic, DO IT IN ANOTHER TOPIC. Unlike others, this isn't meant to be a serious topic-don't try to make it that. Thanks!)"

posted there by myself near the beginning of the thread. It pretty much explains the purpose of the topic. To ease up tension from the flame war about whazhisfaces avatar. Once again, you agreed to it and it was "perfectly fine."

3. Oz, not I, posted your personal info and address. That was later edited out once I found out who did it. Get your facts straight. The only thing I posted was your name... which you had told everyone who had e-mail contact with you, anyway.

4. Once Emmzee and I found out Oz had posted your address and personal info, it was promptly removed. You have no justification in saying I "wouldn't remove them."

5. If you had a problem with this, you should've said something LAST YEAR rather than waiting until now to distort the truth. What good reason do you have for slandering me now? Sarcastic

People don't bother making their own topics anymore because there are very few people here that have anything constructive to add to them. Most of the time I want to discuss DOS gaming I do it somewhere else where people have something to add to the conversation.

subforum mods = bad. Too complex, harder to mod, eyesore, harder to find things you need, hour long installation process. Besides... isnt the pointhere that there isn't enough activity? Making subforums would increase the number of posting places, and all of them would be just as dead.

Vote 'no' on proposition 1 (subforums)

You killed the forums when you killed the Games forum. That was fun, kinda. I dunno why you took it off...

What what what what what? We're not deleting the entire forum. I'll bitch and moan forever if we do, so we obviously can't.

Instead of deleting the entire forum, you could delete all the guest crap. I suggest you think about that one when you're bored.

I agree with Joris.

I also agree with DB, in that I don't know how restarting the forum would help any. What, we delete the forum, install a new one, and that would stop all of the people that annoy us from registering again? No. If anything, it would open an opportunity for those that are banned, such as WFH, to join again.
