The A7N266 isn't bad, but it's really not good either. Get the A7N8X-E Deluxe. Now THERE'S a good AMD32 board.

You should go w/ a Thermaltake case too. Seeing as to how that case is only $22, and has a power-supply in it, I strongly suggest you remove the PSU and buy a new one (if you stay w/ the Dynapower case) Cheap PSU's tend to take down as MUCh as the possibly can when they die.

About the processor: Why not get a 2500+ and the A7N8X board?

Get another 256 DIMM while you're at it. 512 is MUCH better than 256.

Sure this may cost a bit more, but IMHO, it's WELL worth it.

Ok, I'm done communizing your computer now.

Oh, one more thing... don't expect to do too many intense 3D games w/ that vid-card. On-board Videocards stink. They use the system RAM to power them, and they're usually cheap 32bit (64 if you're lucky) VIA cards.

Too bad all that computer power won't help much unless you're:

1. Using it for a server
2. Multitasking 40 programs or so
3. Playing games with ultra-excellent graphics
4. Using a lot of security

I guess there's more, but ye get the point.

And that's $1500 USD, right?

LCD is no good for games, and your Radeon 9200 is a system bottleneck.

9800 is the best right now for ATi, 5950 for nVidia.

For someone who doesn't play games or use 3-D modeling, is getting one of those video cards a spectacular waste of money? I think so.

512mb SD-RAM PC133

GeForce 4 MX4000-t128 (t128 means 128mb with TV-Out, DDR of course. 64-bit (I thought it was 126-bit when I bought it :()) w/ custom installed fan.

Western Digital 40gb 7200rpm Hard Drive (Which is full)

Panasonic 14gb 5200rpm Slave Hard Drive (My DC++ Share Drive, also full)

No-name Case with front and rear cooling fans, 3 5.25" bays, 2 3.5" bays.

Samsung SyncMaster 500b Moniter (Maxes out at 1280x1024 @ 32-bit 70hz)

55x No-name CD-ROM

No-name 3.5" Floppy

Unknown (Havent looked at it since I bought the barebones kit) Soundcard
