Post subject: Perfect DOS Machine Forum/Column |
|
|
| Just got here first time. Played DOS for ...what... 15 years? Maybe you need a column on this site on building the perfect DOS game machine (I didn't immediately see one). A Pentium 200 non-MMX or a 486 DX4-133 would seem the likely starting point (not too fast or too slow). Detail the Menu, Config & Autoex setup, ect. I'll be looking for it and be happy to throw my 2 cents in, as I have parts for such availible. --Joe |

The best pc i can think of is a:;
386
1mb graphic/video card
100-200 mb harddrive
dos 6.2 or 6.22
floppy 1.44mb
But this is good only for the older dos games, no stuff like red alert 1. |
