| Do we really need more reasons for Jay to spam the forums and revive dead topics with useless comments? |

Oh yeah, now I know what you're talking about. A similar system is used in Debz's Forum Fun forum.
http://www.forum-fun.net
(If you don't know who Debz is, go there and you'll find out soon enough)
It uses a points system. Points are transferable from one user to another. Posting gets you more points. We can make deals like "I'll give you 200 points if you use this avatar for a day" or "Give me 1000 points and I'll reveal a personal secret" or whatever.
OK Emmzee, this is pretty much what Wally's talking about. If you don't mind, take a look at Forum Fun and see if you can get a similar points system implemented here.

I have a feeling that if we were to adopt that system, within 2 hours we'd see "Use dosbox!" posted to every single one of the 600 threads in Get Games to Work. Wonder why? |

haha, I agree with you. Not only to mention the spam count rising up through the roof... It's a semi-good idea with far too many loopholes that would in the end, cause more trouble than fun.
