DOOM2 HELP!!!!!!!!

Post by Str8GSlicin »

i just installed doom 2 on my windows XP computer and can't get sound to work. i installed the game off of its disc and am able to get the PC Speaker sound to work, but it's just little midi sounds. I recall the game having demon's screaming and monster noises, but thats what i can't get working. any help would be appreciated.
PS How do you get the original music to work?

If i were you, id just use Doom 95. It works wonderfully on XP with full sound, high resolutions, and better networking play. Do a google for Doom 95 and you'll find it. To use it just place your .wad files into the Doom 95 directory.

Doom doesn't work with XP, you need a windows port of it.
