Duke Nukem kicks Doom ass. He is so much cooler! + Plus he can jump and crouch. Not to mention you can edit the controls to make them like Jk2!!! Mouse aiming! Doom goes way behind!!!

Actually, I prefer Doom. It's just a better atmosphere, I guess...

I'm still waiting for more votes, dammit!

I think doom edges the other out, especially doom 2 with multiplayer network going.

I always thought Doom had a faster pace, which is why I like it better.

Graphics were good enough at the time. The music was good and fast, plus the game was fast paced.

Doom- It was the best of its time. Also, Duke3D hasn't any source ports, which makes it worse. jDOOM is a good example of this. 3D Models, Improved Effects, Mouselook, etc. Also, iD is more known for its FPS's than Apogee- they only made 1 series. Also, Quake was released a year after D3D. True 3D Environments... well I won't go on. In conclusion...
DOOM IS BETTER.
NOTE: I will edit the last bit if its annoying.

I don't know. Both has bad features: blood, graphics (Doom), chicks, posters and insane puzzles (Duke).

DOOM95's (the official iD DOOM Port) IPX Multiplayer is quite good. The Co-op mode runs in deathmatch without frags.

And DOOM had no posters. There wasn't much blood either. Duke3D is more RPG like, with Inventory and all that useless stuff. I just don't like Duke3D as much as DOOM. Also, Build has most of the features that DOOM has, with more 'useless' features (like inventory) added. It still has untrue 3D, low resolutions, etc.
