Microsoft Manic Marbles PC Demo/Trial 1996

Hello everyone!

Microsoft Manic Marbles (aka just Microsoft Marbles) was a PC demo included on the cd of the first Sidewinder Gamepad, back in 1996, that was planned to be released on 1997 but got cancelled. It was one of my first and favorite games as a kid. The game was packed with action and had great last-man standing arena multiplayer gameplay with original music, characters and design.

I've been looking for this trial/demo for a long while and would be very happy if someone could help me out (or point me to other places/forums where I could make this request). Thank you so much for your attention

Maybe instead of looking for the game you can look for demos of the Microsoft Plus or whatever Entertainment pack this was a part of?

I've searched online for the Sidewinder Gamepad cd (the only cd that came with the Microsoft Marbles demo/trial) but wasn't lucky. I already knew the links, but thanks for your reply.

In the forum you posted someone did upload an image of the cd but it's no longer available, unfortunately. I was hoping somebody would upload it again...bad luck, I guess

Wow. I didn't think anyone cared. Well, I guess it is Sunday so I have nothing better to do than to look through my thousands of DVDs. It should be on one of the few DOS CDs that I have so hopefully I get to it. I have a psychiatrist appointment in two days so if I'm not back you know I didn't pass the sanity test. Anyways looking for it now so wish me luck and pray if you are that religious. I skipped church today however I did say the Our Father prayer. But, that's besides the point. Anyways, time to get to work. Talk to you hopefully before my appointment.

Okay you all owe me for this one. I'm putting my neck out on the line for you all. That's all I'm saying hehe This is the original SideWinder CD that has been officially IMGBURN by me. So if you burn it with IMGBURN you should get the exact copy.

***One note: If you don't have the gamepad it will not work. So I am assuming those of you who are downloading this have already bought the gamepad.

Well, I might not be around after this Tuesday appointment so it probably doesn't matter. For what it's worth. It has been fun if I don't come back.

This disc is the SideWinder Game Device Software (Includes Profiler, Activator, Editor, and Drivers). It is for Windows 95

Here is a photo of me holding up the authentic SideWinder gamepad and the authentic disc itself. The funny thing is that I threw out the desktop that would have had Windows 95 and had the serial port for the gamepad many years ago. I wish I knew a neighbour who had a spare. However, knowing me I am too shy to talk to my neighbours much being the quiet person that I am. That's why being online is so comfortable. It allows me to be myself -

Thank you God I still have a few things of value even though I am on welfare. I wouldn't sell it for the world though since these are classic stuffs.

So as you can see in the photograph I have the official original SideWinder disc. Don't say I never did anything for you. Well, I tried anyways just in case you didn't care about this particular help I tried to help out anyways. I don't usually say much except in my area of expertise. However I usually read the new posts coming in to see if there is anything new and what I could do. I try to leave the past alone since I don't want to look back at old news. hehe It is one of those religious beliefs of mine where I try to look forward instead of back. That might not be a good idea since I miss a lot of my friends from time to time. I still remember a handful of good friends. However, God says when one door closes another one opens for you that belongs to you! hehe Thank you God#!!

Thank you so much, I did really care about finding this and I'm very grateful. I'm still going to mess with it and see if I can get it to work. I don't have the gamepad but I will try the same (I also know there are people out there who are looking or have looked for this in the past).

Hey Wally, have you tried using PowerIso? It worked with me.

So, as predicted, I can't even open the setup on Windows 7 (even with compability to 95). I'm now asking for help/directions on how could I possibly run this on Windows 7. I'm thinking of "emulating" Windows 95, but I'm really a noob when it comes to these things.

I won't give up :p Now that we got it, I would be happy just to see someone play it again (even if I can't find a way to run/play it myself). Perhaps I'll have to ask on the "Get Games to Work" subforum.

Well, the previous image for some reason didn't take. I don't know why. If you have a friend with a Mac try burning this version. IMGBURN didn't work so I tried using Mac and it came closer to the original size. IMGBURN only took 35MB out of 127MB. Mac took 125.8MB out of 127MB. So sorry - not an original. However I tried. Really. hehe

Seriously, I'm just laughing because I think it is funny how things work out.

On a serious note, you should really buy the original version of System Shock. The original CD also has the same problem. However if you have the original CD the DEMO is awesome. It is just amazing how these things work. Goes to show my DEMOs are nothing compared to these PROs.

Let us know if you manage to extract and run the game Wally. I didn't know about VMware Fusion, I would like to try and run the game there but I'll wait for your news (don't want to explode my pc messing around ).
