Well, this is a Tank DEMO.

It does nothing more than move quickly from place to place.

Even at default DOSBox cycles, it moves very fast and only stops at the border of the screen.

Can you make it rotate 360 degrees and move in any desired direction at a lower speed?

Well, give me some time.

There is a few complexities in making it turn 360 degrees.

Plus making it move a certain way and speed is another task.

So hang in there - no more than a month is my estimate.

I am giving myself plenty of time.

However if I am lucky I might get a little something in within a day. hehe

Here you all have it. The tank DEMO that simulates driving a funny tank vehicle? hehe Well, it took a little bit of work. However you can drive it forward and backwards. You can do 360 degree turns. You can either use the keyboard or gamepad that Quadko recommended. The gamepad works and might seem more logical than the keyboard. However for those of you who cannot afford a gamepad you have that option too.

By the way, the tank does not show until you push one of the operations key for vehicle movements. hehe

In this version, Tank DEMO 3, the tank shows after the scrolling credits.

If you want to shorten the credits just press a key.

It should exit within a few moments.

Then the tank shows up facing north.

Use the A-key to turn the tank left.
Use the D-key to turn the tank right.
The W-key moves it forward.
S-goes backwards.

I hope you enjoy, and I'm sorry for the earlier glitches.

That's some great improvement, the tank animates quite smoothly. Also thanks for making it turn 45 degrees at a time in v3

BTW, this is already a base for a nice game. You could to some obstacle course for a tank, and a shooting range, or something like that

im only at making kiddy games however cool 3d stuffs i really stink

i know my graphics skills are good enough for old dos games

however im lazy

im just using all sorts of excuses to not work

sure my psychiatrist tells me i am bipolar and not competent

so technically im not in the situation to work at all

im just fortunate God gave me Jesus!

through Jesus there is the miracle that i did do something little

although i am not supposed to be able to, i ended up doing quite a bit

however it is just that something out of reach

you know kids sometimes want to drive a car at a young age

however they wait until they are 16 officially for a permit

some kids want to grow tall

however only a few are granted that wish early because they really want it

God through Jesus gives everyone what they want only if they want it#!!

Anyways, here is the next Tank DEMO (two player) version 5.

Well, I am too tired to put in the efforts for a race track.

However, you can just imagine the race track and play with your friends.

Using Quadko's recommended gamepads are best since it detects both.

In fact, it detects both at the same time#!!

Another cool demo; the text scrolling is outstanding.

Is it a custom font? I like the tank's ability to rotate too... that's pretty sweet.

They probably only do closed beta tests. I don't remember any public beta releases of their titles either.

However I did the hard part in C to lay it out.

The character set is just the old one extended by two pixels horizontally.
