There was a game i had way back when, i was only like 7 so i dont remember much of it, but, it was all purple and black, kind of like a platforming puzzle game, you were some pixelated purple guy going around "dungeons" trying to...do something...while avoiding what i think was traps, kinda like an old indiana jones style game, for 95 or 98, maybe 2000 im not sure

id really appreciate begin able to atleast see this game again, i loved it so much

Could also be ...

Pharaoh's Tomb
http://www.mobygames.com/game/dos/pharaohs-tomb/screenshots

or

Montezuma's Revenge
http://www.mobygames.com/game/pc-booter/montezumas-revenge/screenshots

(Screens here are red/green/black but easily could have been palette-swapped to purple/white/black)

If it's Pharaoh's Tomb, you can get it here: http://www.dosgames.com/g_side4.php

I can't post a link sorry as I'm not registered...

But it's got to be the original Prince of Persia game in CGA mode, surely?

Do a google image search for "70292.png" for a picture (first result).

It was just recently released as freeware, actually. You can find it here...

Ha, yup, I was about to link to that.

To get it to run right, or for less hassle, you'll probably need to use DOSBox. http://www.dosbox.com/
There are some topics to help with setting it up, like http://www.dosgames.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5443 (XP), or the others (Vista, Linux) in http://www.dosgames.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=3
