Post subject: Old Flying Game [Jane's USAF] |
| So, there was this dog fighting flying game. It was "current" for its time, specifically it wasn't WWII Red Baron or anything. It had F16's and A10's. It was some dog fighting and other air to ground type missions (I think?). It could be played from cockpit or from a camera behind the plane. The main load out screen showed a picture of the plane you were going to fly from the front of it, and also showed all of the weapons that you could attach, so whenever you made a change, it showed up right there. I remember when you started the game you also had to enter your name and were "enlisted" into the flying program. I think there was also a scene in which, if you were killed in action, or someone else was killed in action, and there was a memorial service. Possibly also a scene with a silhouette of someone on top of a mountain, with the sun rising. Anyone have any ideas? |

| There any that encompasses all facets? There were other planes to fly. The loadout screen does indeed look like the one in A10, however from what I remember, you could visually see the different types of weapons sitting on crates in front of your plane, not just a text based menu. I checked out the 2nd version, but still don't think its the one I'm looking for. |
