Computer specs: Vista laptop with pentium Dual Core thing, loads of memory, pretty standard new laptop.

I'm using Dosbox first off, so no need to be rude.
I'll give you a list of issues I'm having, in hopes someone can help

I have all my games in a folder as such: c:\games\ (Insert title here)
Sometimes they're in a c:\games\games\ (insert title here) that was an accident, but doesnt affect it too much.

Keen4: I can get this to work... well, kinda. Only if everytime I load it I install it, which creates an issue of no save games, even when I install it to the same directory. Anyway to actually run it from the keen4e.exe?

Solarwinds: Just wont work. When I try to run solar1.exe it gives me the error: CANNOT FIND BH_CHAR.DAT. When looking in the folder, it's the first file that shows there.... Sad

Heretic: When trying to set it up I use c:\games\heretic\setup.bat
and it tells me:

ILLEGAL COMMAND: DEICE.EXE
ILLEGAL COMMAND: HTIC_V12.EXE
UNABLE TO DELETE: HTIC_V12.EXE
ILLEGAL COMMAND: SETUP.EXE

So, Deice.exe exists in the folder, as does htic_v12.exe, Setup.exe does not exist there, I have re-unzipped the folder, so I assume it's not me...

Biomenace: Just wont work, I've used the patch thing, I've gone without the patch thing, whenever I put in the command to open the exe it just doesnt load.

Those are I suppose the main ones I care about for now, I've spent hours on this.... Help?

That's a shame, we like to completely crush people here.
Do you realize you're pretty rude yourself by such statement?
Meh

Have you read this:
http://www.dosgames.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10437
You'll find a keen4 howto by scrollin down a bit.

Most applies for you to.
As you're on an admin account simply replace the paths by your C:\games

About your games and installers that don't find their files:
How you mount your C games drive?
For many games it is needed to mount C:\games as C: and then
cd gamesfolder.

You simply mount in a wrong way.
You MUST :

mount c c:\games
C:
cd heretic
setup

To avoid having to mount your C:\games as C everytime you wanna game read the post in that link, it's explained howto do by editing dosbox.conf.

Those are games from the DOS era, and most of your problems come from a wrong mount/launch command.
Keep in mind:
mount your c:\games always as C
cd to your gamesdirectory
AVOID c:\games\games\gamesdirectory

Should you have more problems, feel free to ask, but please one game by one, not 20 games mixed up.

Without specification about:
Vista? What Vista? There are several flavours in 'Vista'. Each with their own problems.
CPU ( brand? GHz?)
Memory ( amount? 1G-2G.....)
Standard ??? What's a 'standard' laptop ??? I have really no idea.
Vidcard? Onboard graph chip? Shared vidmemory????
Sound? What kind of soundchip?
It's gonna be impossible to do some trouble shooting if you encounter problems that are hardware related.

It would be as if I said :
"I have a car, it has an engine, 4 tires and does vroooooom, pretty standard car"
