Has anyone ever heard of .com files???
I recently found it on my file associations list
on the Command-Prompt.I typed in the following on notepad:
010010101001010001001010000110
110011101010001011
100100010100010101001010010
10010101001010101010101001
010101001010010010010101010010110010101
1001101011010101000100100001010
01001001010010100100101000101000
Then I saved it as BINtest.com.
I ran the file on my desktop that appeared
to be an executable file. This is what hapened:
I double-clicked on it and magic appeared
in front of my 20 20 vision eyes.A prompt
popped up and random symbols started to
appear(most likely from binary values) and
then after 5 seconds it softly exited.

please tell me how,or give me a link to a tutorial in doing
so.

Try opening a bin or a com up in an ANSI interpreter for added fun! |

He probably don't want you to be around when he discovers that.
You're the wrong gender, I think. |

I do! C'mon, it'll be funny!
But uhh, Tinman... honestly, try to find things that most people wouldn't know about. Especially in a community such as this where people tend to know enough on the topic of computers, something like knowledge of .com files aren't really considered a "new and shocking discovery :o". |

I'd never copyright 2 minutes of my time in PabloDraw
btw, it would actually translate to this:

| Even i knew about .com files and i know that some dos games use .com files and blockage is an example of a dos game that uses .com files. You can download it on dosgames.com and it is freeware. |

Now you see Tinman47, give it some time and you also gonna learn things.
Something completely off-topic (IF we can consider this thread to be a topic)
BBS .... , memories memories....
Did Dosgames.com even existed in the BBS times ?
**Wouldn't be amazed that the admins crawled around in diapers those days.** |

Nope, DOSGames.com never existed in BBS form. I always wanted to run my own BBS but ... couldn't afford (or justify to my parents why I needed) a second phone line.
The site DID exist for about a month at this URL before moving to DOSGames.com:
http://www.inforamp.net/~biglarr/
"biglarr" was my dad's username with our ISP of the time, Inforamp, which no longer exists. At the time, $70US was a lot of money for the domain name, but I think it was probably a good investment |
