Post subject: OLD game/ships/port to port |
I am looking for info on how to obtain a very old computer game that operated I believe in DOS (I understood very little about computers even more then than now). It was not highly detailed when it came to graphics as most of the game was text. It centered on you commanding a wooden war vessel in which you sailed from port to port throughout the world trading the goods that you had on hand in your cargo hold (silk, guns etc).
The object obviously was to become richer. However as you sailed, you were sure to eventually encounter "pirate ships". Each side took turns in trying to blow each others boats outof the water. The game was very simple in nature, but strategic of sorts, even though everything was quite randomly based. Any ideas or info? |

| I've had that one myself eons ago. Forget the name too. I thought for a minute it was "Age of Sail" but that' s a straight combat game (TalonSoft). I'll take a look in the basement boxes soon and see if it's still around so I can at least find the name. It's a 25% chance so keep lookin' elsewhere. |
