I thought I'd share this because I've never seen it anywhere else.

There's a "normal" way to get to the secret level in Commander Keen 5 that everybody knows about. There is another which is either a bizarre bug or a well kept secret.. until now! (Well its not like keeping it to myself does much good).

In the Brownian Motion Inducer, theres a place with a door you can walk through, and a ledge above where bouncing betties will throw themselves off at you.

If you let a Betty bounce at you and walk through the door at just the right moment as it explodes, Keen will slide to the side slightly as he goes through the door, and suddenly you'll be on Korrath III (sorry if I get these names slightly wrong). It would only happen one out of 5 times or so, but it does happen.

I noticed this about 10 years ago, and reconfirmed it last night running under DOSBox.

Its hard to see it being a bug, but if intentional, its certainly a hard to find secret. I guess the Betty is blowing Keen to Korrath? Anyway, I always thought it was funny and thought someone else might want to try.

Interesting, I don't remember much about Keen 5 as I haven’t played it in such a looooong time. But I'll have to keep that in mind next time I fire it up in DOSbox.

On keen 5 how do you get those 1 ups in level 1 with using no clip. Ive used the see secrets and jump cheats to try to find it but i can't.
