saw it tonight, Didn't like it at all, and I didn't like the rock... what did you guys think?

Haven't seen it, but it is doomed to fail: Doom had one of the worst storylines ever in a game, and to release a movie from it seems ridiculous.

it was stupid, I knew it was going to suck, But I didn't know it was going to suck that much Meh

It was a waste of time... The ending sucked, and the whole concept was garbage.. I like that game, but did they really need to have the last half hour like the game, where allyou see is the dudes gun shooting everyone, they tried to make it look like you were playing the game.. i would give this movie a 2 and thats being generous

I've not seen it yet, it maybe ok for some good clean carnage after all Wink

I would however drool over a film based on the Half-Life universe Shit-Eating Grin

well I found it bad, and I googled it and most reviews said it was bad, and the other 2 people that were with me found it bad,..... so its not just me

hmm I think this is actually the first time a movie is based off of a dos game?
hah, a lousy start with a lousy movie.
If they made one based off of Wolf3D, it might have been more successfull.
They better not try Doom 2.

hahah i doubt that you will kill them... and I think though seriously that there will be a sequal, cause alot o fpeople are going to see doom just for curiousity..... not because its good, but they just want to see it to say they saw it, thats the reason why I went. I knew I wasnt going to like it, but I just wanted to see what all the fuss was about

What do you think of the Halo movie?

I haven't seen a movie off a computer game succeed (which is why I was so shocked when I heard about a Doom movie), but a lot of people I know think it will work just because Peter Jackson is executive producer. I still think it is going to fail, just because the enjoyment of a computer game storyline is completely different to a movie storyline.

And then there's the 'mystery' of computer game characters: in Halo for example, will they leave Chief's helmet on the whole time or will he take it off? If they leave it on they cannot achieve anything in the movie except mindless slaughter. If they take it off, a lot of Master Chief's mystery is lost.

peter jackson usualy got good movies, but this one sucked.
