I'm looking for something to help me build a game much like Sierra's 'Quest' series.

I know nothing about the Sierra 'Quest' series and I saw that mzx won't work on your pc. Don't worry about that though, mzx is very fussy when it comes to workings on certain pc's.

Another decent game creator is zzt (inspired mzx) and you can get it at www.zeuxworld.com. Also, if you need any help, please join my forums and we'll help you out!

there's a qbasic game engine out that allows one to make games in the style of the "king's quest" series and such.
